JOB SUMMARY
The Day Reporting Center Program Director/Center Manager will provide program oversight, assure compliance with contract obligations, and generally ensure the quality of clinical work conducted by program staff.  The Program Director will manage work flow, supervise staff, represent the project with various stakeholders, and maintain liaison with CBHS, DAPO, CDCR and others.  In cooperation with other Walden House staff, the Program Director will develop policies and procedures, take part in program development activities, manage program resources, and may provide direct services to program clients.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop policies and procedures
Maintain overall responsibility for the delivery of program services
Hire staff and manage personnel issues
Schedule program activities
Provide clinical and administrative supervision to program staff
Represent the program at outside meetings with stakeholders
Engage in program development activities
Provide direct services to agency clients
Oversee program budget to ensure that operational costs do not exceed the funding allowed
Work with DAPO Program Manager when its determined funding between line items need to be adjusted in accordance with the Line Item Budget Guide
 
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Attend meetings and staff trainings as required
Participate on committees for quality improvement initiatives as required

EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
A Bachelor’s Degree from a granting institution accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and three years experience working with offenders OR five years of documented experience demonstrating a history of administrative responsibility in services for offenders.
Ability to pass a mandatory CDCR Live Scan Background Clearance.

EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED
Knowledge of recovery-based clinical approaches
Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing Techniques
Knowledge of various Cognitive Behavioral Strategies
