JOB SUMMARY Assist clients in preparing for and obtaining employment, and develop vocational objectives. Primary responsibilities are coordinated case management for and provision of services to clients in the job search/job retention. Responsible for design and delivery of vocational testing and career counseling services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assess parolees to determine employment, training and vocational needs.
Provide services that include, but are not limited to, resume writing, mock interviews, punctuality, how to get along with others in a work environment, how to take a follow instruction, job readiness and job search.
Assist clients in securing and locating appropriate employment or vocational training.
EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
High School Diploma or its equivalent and six months experience as a job developer or like position.
Strong computer skills
Ability to pass a mandatory CDCR Live Scan Background Clearance
EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED
BA in related field
Experience working with parolees or like populations
High degree of creative energy
