Case Work Supervisor

Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for supervising, scheduling and training the Journey Level Case Workers. Responsibilities include coordination of community services, monitoring quality assurance for the program and clients, screening project documents and records. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage casework functions and supervision of casework staff
Monitor treatment methodology and procedures governing counselor documentation
Ensure parolee clients are working toward the goals outlined in their CMP
Participate in case conferences

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS                                                                                                                             Works as team with staff and performs functions that further the Program and Agency

EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED                                                               
Bachelor’s degree from a granting institution accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges or the equivalent in the Social Sciences or related field  OR two years experience supervising casework staff and a high school diploma or its equivalent OR six years of full time experience with the responsibility of no less than a Journey Level Counselor in a program working with a criminal justice population and a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Ability to pass a mandatory CDCR Live Scan Background Clearance.

EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED                                                               
Supervisory skills
Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing Techniques
